Position Summary: The Head Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the General Manager and serves as a key member of the senior leadership team. The Superintendent is fully responsible for agronomic performance, course conditions, personnel leadership, budgeting, capital planning, irrigation systems, equipment management, and regulatory compliance.

Establish and execute a clear agronomic vision for championship-level conditions
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team
Demonstrate fiscal discipline while strategically planning capital improvements
Communicate confidently with members, leadership, and committees
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and safety
Balance daily operational excellence with long-term strategic planning
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic programs
Maintain exceptional year-round playing conditions
Lead irrigation strategy and water management planning
Oversee fertilizer and pesticide programs with full regulatory compliance
Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets
Oversee equipment lifecycle and replacement planning
Recruit, train, and retain qualified maintenance staff
Collaborate closely with Club leadership and tournament operations
Qualifications:
2- or 4-year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field
Missouri Category 3 Pesticide License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Progressive leadership experience in golf course maintenance
Demonstrated success managing budgets and agronomic programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and passion for excellence
Compensation & Benefits:
$85,000–$110,000 annual salary (commensurate with experience)
