The OTA Awards the Karl Anderson Legacy Scholarship

The Ozark Turf Association has awarded its 2026–27 Karl Anderson Legacy Scholarship to Audry Hudson of Linn Creek, Missouri. The scholarship supports college students whose parents or grandparents are OTA members.

Her achievements included an Academic Letter (grades 9–12); National Honor Society membership (grades 10–12); summa cum laude recognition and an Academic All-State Award (grade 12); DECA honors, including second place at districts and recognition as a top 10 state finalist (grade 11), first place in two district events, fourth place at state, and a top-20% finish at internationals (grade 12); FBLA honors, including two second-place district medals (grade 10), second place at districts (grade 11), and two state qualifications; choir gold ratings at districts and state medals (grades 9, 10, and 12); and varsity tennis letters (grades 11–12), the Most Improved Award (grade 11), and second-place finishes in singles and team competition at a local tournament (grade 12). She also served as DECA vice president of leadership and FBLA vice president.

Audry served around 70 hours volunteering within the National Honors Society, church, and community by staffing School of the Osage concessions, assisted with blood drives, and participated in the annual Trunk or Treat.

Audry is a freshman at the University of Missouri, where she is studying business and pre-medicine. She has also received two prestigious Mizzou scholarships: the Sam Walton Business School Award and the Curators Scholar Award.

Audry is the daughter of Keri Seidt and the stepdaughter of OTA member Brad Seidt, superintendent of Lake Valley Golf Club.

The Karl Anderson Legacy Scholarship is named for long time Ozark Turf Association member Karl Anderson who worked for years as the golf course superintendent at Hickory Hills Country Club. He and his wife Patsy did not have children of their own but strongly supported the association’s scholarship efforts. Karl lost his battle with brain cancer in May of 2018. The Karl Anderson Legacy Scholarship is open to the children and grandchildren of OTA members. Awards of $3,000 are given to recipients and funded by the OTA members through their annual scholarship and research outing held each year.
